Tiny Baby, Big Art

One of the wonders of womanhood is the ability to nurture a human being inside your belly and eventually give birth. It is an awe-inspiring miracle that doesn’t happen every day in a person’s life.

Naturally, you’d want to preserve that special moment when your child first open his eyes, made his first nonsensical blabber-babble, or when you first saw him smile and lit up your world. Or even just preserving that tiny miracle that changes your life because soon enough, they are going to grow up and become their own selves.

One of the nicest ways to do this is to decorate your nursery with a life size canvass print of your precious baby’s picture. I know I’m itching to do it. It is eye catching, adorable and preserves your baby’s innocence on canvas.

A popular company offering such service is Wallhogs. It’s a one-stop web site for printing BIG. And it is not only designed for baby’s pictures. Artists and photographers can upload their digital content and have them printed as posters, canvas or vinyl.

If you are opting for the canvas print for your kid’s rooms, the price is very affordable, ranging from $19.99 to $49.99. These prints are unmounted so you don’t have to worry about huge shipping costs. It also gives you the opportuinity to decide how you’ll blend the frame with your room’s decor.

Wallhog’s signature vinyl prints are perfect for printing life size images, think cars in motion for a boy’s room, and using these prints to decorate your kid’s room. They will absolutely go nuts over it being the coolest kid in town. These vinyl prints are easy to install [you can move it all over the place] and reusable. Prints start from 2 to 7ft and costs from $24.99 to $79.99

I’m just imagining my baby boy growing up, and I’d be ready with cool hip vinyl posters for him to either show off to his friends or use as his personal drawing canvass as they are affordable enough[yes, admit it kids like to trash walls sometimes].

Nice material, fast printing and shipping. Do visit Wallhogs.com, it’s worth a try.

Should You Have Your Baby Circumcised?

Sometimes, it really is easier to have baby girls, if only because you don’t have to be faced with the question “Are you going to have your baby circumcised?” right after giving birth to a baby boy.

As soon as I knew I’m carrying a boy it became a dilemma, should I or should I not? And rightly so, my pediatrician confirmed, it really is a matter of preference, a cultural thing if you will.

These days, at birth, you will be asked if you would like to have your baby circumcised at the hospital or not, and doctors say it’s more painful for parents than for the baby but it heals in about two weeks with no trauma for the child. As the baby grows older, the skin becomes tougher and is harder and more painful to cut.

Culturally, Asians are mostly circumcised and boys who aren’t are often subjected to cruel teasing by his peers which can make it a difficult situation for him. There is also the question of hygiene, is it cleaner to be circumcised? Not really, it depends on a person’s hygienic practices.

If you choose to not have your baby boy circumcised then it is your responsibility to teach him how to take care of his peepee rocket so he’s not prone to infection or other hygienic boo boo.

Going To Potty School

Oh yes, they think of everything these days! Boston’s Children’s Hospital has toilet training program. The hospital is one of a handful in the US offering a six-week potty training program to children.

I can just imagine the frustration parents go through trying to potty train babies and there are thousands of children out there who, for one reason or another, needs extra help to bridge development from diaper-wear to independent potty user.

Believe me, I don’t even want to think about potty training at this stage.
